In northwestern Skåne, Sweden, a new wine region is reportedly emerging, with vineyards becoming increasingly close together. According to unconfirmed reports, initiatives such as a dedicated wine route and a shuttle bus between vineyards are part of the efforts in the new Terra Skåne project. Sweden has been a wine-producing country since 1999, when the first vineyards were established, but it is only in recent years that more vineyards have appeared in Skåne.
The region is now said to be on the verge of a breakthrough as a wine area.
