A teenage boy was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a snowmobile accident north of Torneträsk, northwest of Kiruna, Sweden. According to Region Norrbotten, the incident occurred on Thursday night between Kiruna and Abisko, with police being informed around 21:30. Initial reports from Norrländska Socialdemokraten identified the snowmobile driver as Jonny Vikström, who reportedly collided with a stone.
Emergency services including ambulance and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene. The teenager was airlifted to hospital by ambulance helicopter for treatment of serious injuries sustained in the accident.
